Market Street Village

A mixed use project at the heart of downtown San Diego and in the Center City Development Corporation PDO area, governed by its regulations. There were two Sun Access Corridors as well as height restriction governing the massing of the building. Also the design objective was to organize the massing for the building to create the image of a neighborhood as opposed to a monolithic structure. This is in keeping with the design criteria set forth by CCDC. The existing site includes 23 single room occupancy component the proposed design maintained the same use as the affordable component of the project. Also, the above grade portion of the parking garage is shrouded with the retail component and the SRO units.
