Park At Harbour View

This is a mixed use project designed in a unique setting. The original site, covering four blocks of Downtown Long Beach was the site where Pyke amusement park existed and operated in early 20th century. Pyke property went out of business in the 1970s and the property was left vacant for years until later in 1999 Camden Development filed an application to revise the existing master plan. ARK Architects Inc. was commissioned to redesign the entire master plan and the design and preparation of the drawings for 538 units in six 4 and 9 story buildings over two and three levels of parking, on the two middle parcels leaving the two end parcels for later development of a Hotel and Condominium residential units. The project has been designed to resemble a Mediterranean village stepping down the hill using the grade change between the Ocean Boulevard and Seaside Way. The Clubhouse/Leasing Office positioned at the intersection of the alignments of the two streets once active on the site represent the City Hall and the City Square. All of the top floor units benefit from a loft space that would afford the residents better view of the Long Beach Bay. The project has received the following recognition: Gold Nugget Merit Award – Residential Project of the Year
